Maddy Sansom from Chandlers Ford is no stranger to donating her time and energy to the causes she believes in. A few years ago she cut off her beautiful long hair in aid of the Little Princess Charity, who provide real hair wigs for children with cancer.

There was an almost family atmosphere for our annual group Christmas Party on 14 December 2017, with fifteen of our stroke survivor members and seventeen supporters (volunteers, carers and guests) all determined to enjoy themselves.
Our talented stroke survivors once again demonstrated how it's possible to learn new skils and to have lots of fun, no matter how challenging it may be.
The group had a great turnout for our Make May Purple for stroke day with a colourful array of purple outfits, decoration and food. The star of the show was the cake baked by Liam Stapleton, our champion marathon runner, and of course it reflected the colour of the day.
The meeting on 23 February reflected the increasing success of the group with a record amount of attendees. Two new members were welcomed and it was noted they had past stroke group experience and were directed to the Chandlers Ford Group for the speech therapy expertise provided.
Father of three, Liam Stapleton, from Chandler's Ford, has successfully completed the Great South Run in less than two hours for the Stroke Association.
Each year, the Fellowship collect over a twelve-month period and donate the proceeds to support local charitable organisations. Our group was selected following a visit last year to one of our meetings by Barbara White, Fellowship chair, and member Pat White.
