There was an almost family atmosphere for our annual group Christmas Party on 14 December 2017, with fifteen of our stroke survivor members and seventeen supporters (volunteers, carers and guests) all determined to enjoy themselves.
Most brought gifts of festive food and a few bottles of sparkling wine were popped open to add to the celebration. Santa joined in with the fun with his sack of presents.
As a grand finale, we were entertained by a lively group of banjo and ukelele players called the Shedettes who strummed out a range of Christmas carols and we sang along with gusto. Even audience members who have memory issues seemed to recall the words. The applause at the end said it all.
Best wishes to everyone for a happy and healthy New Year.
