Raising funds for Speech Therapy

The Good Exchange are helping us to raise money to pay for Speech Therapy until April 2022. Our members pay a contribution towards the costs of their therapy sessions, but we still have a shortfall.

You can make a contribution via the Good Exchange Website.

A stroke can cause Aphasia and other related language disorders. Aphasia can affect how someone speaks, their ability to understand what is being said, as well as reading and writing skills.

It can be scary and isolating to face everyday activities without the ability to express thoughts and emotions easily or understand others.

Speech therapy can minimise these symptoms to make everyday activities like joining in conversations, watching and understanding TV, reading and writing easier. Often, NHS speech therapy is unavailable and private speech therapy is unaffordable.
