At our AGM in June of this year, John Drywood stood down as a volunteer. A very sad day for our group.
John has been a volunteer with the group since the very beginning of the group, and he will be sorely missed; although we send him our best wishes along with our thanks.
He has been a terrific volunteer, helping to run the group, organise outings and keeping us all entertained with his stories and gardening tips. John also organised the planting of a rose at Richmond village to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. We’re pleased to say it’s growing strongly, thanks to your green fingers, John.
We will miss you for all the above and much more, but appreciate you’d like to have more time to spend with family. Happy retirement, John.
