Know Your Blood Pressure event at the Eastleigh Mela

Volunteers from our Stroke Support Group joined forces with members of Eastleigh and Chandler's Ford Rotary Clubs at the Easleigh Mela for a Know Your Blood Pressure event. We tested 87 people. Of those, most required no further action. Nine were advised to have a routine follow up with their GP in a month. Three had readings high enough to recommend a visit to their GP in one week and one person's results were so high and caused so much concern that he was strongly advised to go immediately to A&E. This is just another example of how important these Know Your Blood Pressure events are to inform and prevent stroke or other related illnesses.
