The Chandlers Ford Stroke Support Group summer outing took place this year at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey, with a great turnout of 30 stroke survivors, family members, carers and volunteers. We are delighted to continue to see developing friendships within the group by the exchanges between members who have got to know each other over time and this creates a great atmosphere of conviviality, fun and laughter. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters were organised to ensure the comfort of the physically challenged and after a gentle guided tour of the garden highlights, we retired to the café where a cream tea had been laid on. We all sat enjoying the scones, jam and cream and of course cups of tea. This most British of institutions is as popular as ever and rounded off this excellent event.
